Terms & Conditions
1.1 I (the owner) hereby declare to THE DOG DEN LIMITED that I am the legal owner of the named dog; that my dog has not been exposed to distemper, rabies or parvo within the past (30) thirty days; that my dog has been vaccinated as indicated by records provided; and that my dog is currently licensed as required by Council.
1.2 I understand that THE DOG DEN’s Day Centre is a group play facility. I accept the positive benefits and inherent risks involved in this and agree that THE DOG DEN will not be liable for any injuries or illnesses resulting during my dog’s attendance..
1.3 I understand that I am liable for any medical care expenses and damages that result from injuries caused by my dog.
1.4 I understand that I must advise THE DOG DEN if my dog has a history of aggression or biting prior to entering the facility, and I will keep THE DOG DEN informed of any changes to my dog’s behaviour. THE DOG DEN reserves the right to refuse service for my dog.
1.5 I understand that I must advise THE DOG DEN if my dog has any medical conditions prior to entering the facility. THE DOG DEN reserves the right to refuse service for my dog.
1.6 I expressively waive and relinquish any and all claims against THE DOG DEN, its employees and representatives, except those arising from negligence on the part of THE DOG DEN
1.7 I understand that under no circumstances will THE DOG DEN be liable for indirect or consequential damage and its liability (if it arises) is limited to the replacement value of my dog.
1.8 If an emergency medical problem develops while my dog is in the care of THE DOG DEN, I authorise THE DOG DEN to do whatever they believe is necessary for the safety, health and well-being of my dog. I agree to assume full financial responsibility for any and all expenses incurred upon check out. In the event of an emergency, THE DOG DEN will endeavour to contact me as soon as possible using the contact information I have provided.
1.9 I will provide documentation demonstrating that all vaccinations are current according to Veterinarian requirements (including Lepto’ and Kennel Cough (12 month) for Dogs). However, it must be understood even though all dogs at THE DOG DEN are vaccinated, this may not fully protect my dog. I understand my Vet will advise further.
1.10 I understand when my dog is boarding overnight, charges start on the first day of the booking and if my dog is checked out on the last day prior to 11am, that day is not charged. If check out is after 11am a full day is charged.
1.11 These terms do not limit any liability of The Dog Den under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
1.12 I understand that THE DOG DEN has the right to refuse service to me and my dog at any time and for any reason.
1.13 Once signed, this contract is valid for all subsequent boarding and day care visits. However, the terms and conditions of this contract are subject to change without notice. It is recommended the Owner update themselves on each visit or via our website www.thedogden.co.nz
1.14 I confirm that I have read, understood and agree to the “The Dog Den Essentials” as published at www.thedogden.co.nz.
1.15 I give permission for THE DOG DEN to take and use photos of my dog to post on their social media sites.
1.16 I give permission for THE DOG DEN to contact my veterinarian to confirm my dog is up to date with his/her vaccinations.
2 PAYMENT REQUIREMENTS
2.1 I understand that I must pay THE DOG DEN in advance for any service being provided apart from grooming
2.2 I understand that I must allow at least twenty-four hours for notice of cancelation or change in schedule day/time. A 50% cancellation fee will be charged if less than 24 hours’ notice is given and I will be charged 100% for ‘no shows’.
2.3 I understand that the hours of operation are 6:30am-6:30pm on Mondays to Fridays and 8am to 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays. A late pickup fee applies.
2.4 I understand if I have not picked up my dog within 30 minutes after the advertised closing time (as per Clause 2.3), THE DOG DEN may make arrangements for overnight boarding at my expense.
2.5 If I purchase a half day service and fail to pick my dog up five (5) hours after drop off, I will be charged the full day rate.
2.6 Concession cards are valid for a period of eight (8) weeks from the time of purchase.
2.7 Concession cards are only available for dogs living at the same address and owned by the same owner.
2.8 Accepted methods of payment are MasterCard, VISA and Cash. Also direct credit by prior arrangement. Please note a 1.95% surcharge applies for credit card purchases.
2.9 No refunds are available for Flexi Passes & VIP Concession Cards. This is a condition of sale to secure the reduced daily rate available on these products. At our discretion under exceptional circumstances we may consider a refund. Any refund given by us will be inclusive of any goods and services tax (GST). In lieu of a refund at our discretion we may provide a credit against other services or products.
